Welcome to Talcen Foel Cottage.

Nestled at the foot of Anelog mountain, with breathtaking sea and mountain views,Talcen Foel is the perfect secluded getaway location at the Lands End of Wales. Grade two listed, it was renovated into comfortable accommodation in the 1990’s, whilst still retaining traditional characteristics.

A self catering cottage sleeping up to 4 guests, Talcen Foel offers a comfortable living/dining area with views towards the Irish Sea and the Wicklow Mountains on a clear day. A log burner provides a cosy and relaxing atmosphere for curling up with a good book, or to binge watch the latest box set via the smart tv.

A well equipped kitchen also provides a dining area, with background heat supplied by the Rayburn range. Above the kitchen is a traditional ‘crog loft’ accessed via a wooden ladder, offering a quiet reading area. The ‘crog loft’ also has a freeview tv with Wii games console and feature led lighting.  The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower and heated towel rail.

Bedroom one is a comfortable King size double cotton bedding and traditional Welsh woollen blanket. The view is towards Mynydd Mawr and out to the Irish Sea. Bedroom two, has two single beds, with double aspect windows with views to Anelog.

To the rear of the property is a patio area with views over the surrounding fields, and out to sea. A small bbq is available for those sunny evenings, and a fire pit for warmth to accompany a glass of wine whilst watching  the sun setting over the sea.

Talcen Foel is just ten minutes from Aberdaron village, with its well stocked Spar shop, excellent bakery, pubs, café’s and fish and chip shop. The area has many great beaches and coves ideal for swimmers, surfers and anglers alike, and has direct access to the Wales Coastal Path.

Please note that the cottage is accessed via a narrow gated field track from Uwchmynydd, and care is needed during inclement weather. Suitable for cars or 4x4s only.

Lounge Dining Area

A log burning stove provides a cosy and relaxing atmosphere for curling up with a good book, or to binge watch the latest box set via the smart TV. A supply of logs is available during the winter. The window seat offers great views of the sunset or out to sea.

Kitchen

A well equipped Kitchen also provides a dining area with background heat supplied by the oil fired Rayburn.

Bedrooms

Double bedroom has a comfy king size bed with all linen supplied and traditional Welsh Blanket with sea views overlooking Mynydd Mawr. The Twin room offers two single beds again with all linen supplied.

Outdoor area

Enjoy breathtaking sunsets on the patio with the sun setting over the Wicklow Mountains. Barbeque is provided with table and chairs for those summer evenings and a firepit for when the sun goes down.
